Copyright- the legal right that protects the use of your work once your idea has been physically expressed. It grants the creator of an original creative work legal right that can't be stolen from. It is important I don't breach this form of legislation, therefore I need to create my own ideas/original forms of work. I can be inspired by pre-existing magazines, for instance with layouts and colour schemes, but I cannot copy logos or artwork. Therefore, I cannot use images of pre-existing DJs that have been taken for other purposes, not for my own magazine.
Ensuring forms are signed- This will impact creative aspects to the production of my magazine because I will not be able to shoot anyone/any place legally and if I do it is a breach of law. It is important the forms are signed so I cannot have any limitations when making my front cover or double page spread. This way, once the forms are signed, shooting in the location and the people is completely by permission. This means that I can't use a model to present my DJ brand, or a location like a DJ studio without the owners permission.
Data protection- Impacting both the creation and marketing aspect of my magazine, as I have plural people working aside me I need to ensure privacy is kept private and not releasing information with people outside of the magazine production without permission. To ensure all information is kept private, workers will be aware of this type of legislation, prior to starting the work, and there will be zero-tolerance for the consequences of breaking this and no misunderstandings. This would include the pictures I would take of DJs or models that can potentially leak what the next issue could focus on, or even a new location that is showcasing my artist at a new DJ set.
Trespassing- This type of legislation also links to privacy and the creation of my magazine. This causes limitations on the locations I can shoot my content, where pictures could potentially be taken. To prevent this, the locations I choose to take photos will need to made sure of that there are no restrictions, if there are then I will need to find alternative options. I could also try public areas, which have no restrictions to the location I choose to take photos. An example of this would be to shoot in a music studio without the owners permission or take photos in a venue that strictly prohibits photography.
Discrimination- A very serious issue that could destroy the reputation of my magazine if breached. The situation could escalate, especially if it was subject to this on numerous occasions, and potentially cause my magazine to get banned, produced and sold. To prevent this serious case happening, I will need to check the text and images I put out, ensuring no content I feature is to be associated with discriminatory content. Therefore, with my target audience attracting different races and ethnicities, the DJs and artists I showcase will be from varied backgrounds and communities, which is exactly what I want my magazine to express. This ignites the diversity of the London music scene.
Racism- A huge ethical issue that I will have to avoid during the creation of my magazine. Especially, seeing that my magazine targets both white and black people, my magazine would be hugely affected in terms of sales and public image if I were to have any racist content. Racism is a serious factor, and if my magazine were to be found of any racial slurs or ideology, it could result in very serious legal battles. Again, I want my magazine to perform perfectly to target both my audiences, showcasing a diversity in the North London music scene.
Sexism- Sexism is an ethical issue that can affect the creation of my magazine as I will have to make sure that there is nothing that can be associated with sexism, as this will step a bad reputation and image for my magazine. Considering the fact that both my target audience is aimed at men and women, its especially important that I appear to both and not offend both either. The content I write should be inclusive of both sexes as my genre is already niche, it needs to attract as many people as possible. Also, I want my magazine to attract both men and women, therefore I want to use male and female DJs in my content.

Moodboard:
I have chosen my moodboard images based on the aesthetics and colours I would like to feature in my magazine. The moodboard displays the type of artists my magazine is all about (hip-hop influenced DJs) and also the bright techno colours that my colour scheme would feature, representing the lights and colour displays DJs perform with.
Final fonts:
I have chosen this font for the title of my magazine as It's a bold and eye-catching font that highlights the techno aspect of the genre.
For my headlines and sub-headings I have chosen this font because it is minimalistic yet effective especially for the readers purpose to read the magazine clearly and well.
This font would be used the most for my main body copy. Again, its a simplistic font that fulfils the readers purpose of it being easy to read but it works well for my magazine to be aesthetic and pleasing, making it attractive to readers.
Colour scheme:
I have chosen this colour scheme, as I think it best portrays the DJ music genre. The colours I have chosen are bold, colourful and eccentric and I think the choice of such bright colours will perfectly demonstrate the bright lights used on DJ sets. Additionally, most magazines in competition use a display of bright pops of colour to differentiate themselves from the rest and by mirroring this technique I would hope my magazine does as well.
